Challenging the Way We Think About Healing

Talk Show Host · Speaker · Author · Transformation Expert

Krista Rooney isn’t interested in giving people more information to collect. She’s interested in the conversations that actually change something.

With a background in biology and biochemistry, nearly a decade of transformational work, deep roots in spiritual and Indigenous wisdom, and a life that has given her no shortage of stories to tell, Krista brings a perspective to healing that doesn’t fit neatly into one box. She talks about the things we often miss: why the strongest people can be the ones running closest to empty, what happens when life blows up the plan, why knowing better doesn’t always mean living differently, and why trust matters more than ever in the people we turn to for help.

Whether she’s on stage, in front of a camera, or behind a microphone, Krista brings passion, humor, raw honesty, and a willingness to go where the conversation actually needs to go. She has a way of taking ideas that can feel complicated, clinical, spiritual, or uncomfortable and making them deeply human, relatable, and impossible not to see yourself in.

Now, Krista is bringing those conversations to national television as the creator and host of Stop Pretending You’re Fine, filmed in Hollywood for the Rachel McCord Network and distributed to 110 million households across Samsung TV, Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon. The show is built around the conversations people are actually having behind closed doors, bringing together real stories, lived experience, and voices that can help move those conversations forward.

Because the best conversations don’t just leave you inspired. They leave you seeing something differently than you did before.

CREATOR + HOST

Stop Pretending You’re Fine

Nationally distributed television. Filmed in Hollywood.

What would change if we stopped pretending we were fine?

Stop Pretending You’re Fine is built on the belief that one honest conversation can change a life. When one person has the courage to say the thing everyone else is thinking, feeling, struggling with, surviving, or afraid to admit, someone watching realizes, “Holy crap, it’s not just me.”

Hosted by Krista Rooney and filmed in Hollywood for the Rachel McCord Network, the show brings together stories, expertise, lived experience, and people doing work that can actually move those conversations forward.

Distributed to 110 MILLION HOUSEHOLDS across Samsung TV · Roku · Apple TV · Amazon, the mission is bigger than creating another television show. It’s about taking conversations that can change people’s lives and putting them in front of an audience large enough to create a ripple far beyond the room where they started.

Because one honest conversation can create a ripple. Enough ripples can become waves.

Stop Pretending You're Fine

For audiences navigating burnout, overwhelm, anxiety & the pressure to hold it all together

We've gotten really good at looking fine. We show up, get the work done, take care of everyone else, answer “good!” when someone asks how we're doing—and quietly wonder how much longer we can keep operating this way.

In this powerful and deeply relatable keynote, Krista challenges the idea that being capable means we're okay. She explores why high-functioning people can live in survival mode without realizing it, how constantly pushing through disconnects us from what we actually need, and why lasting change begins with having the courage to tell ourselves the truth.

Audiences leave with a new way of recognizing survival patterns in their own lives, practical ways to interrupt them, and permission to stop waiting for a breakdown before something changes.

Ideal for

Women's conferences • Corporate wellness • Leadership events • Personal development • Mental wellness • Healthcare & helping professions

When Life Doesn't Go According to Plan

How to move through uncertainty, setbacks & the moments that change everything

Eventually, life hands every one of us a moment we didn't plan for. The rejection. The loss. The failure. The diagnosis. The relationship ending. The career changing. Or simply the realization that the life we've worked so hard to build isn't the life we want anymore.

Through powerful storytelling, humor, raw honesty, and practical insight into how human beings respond to uncertainty and change, Krista takes audiences beyond the usual conversation about resilience. Drawing from extraordinary moments in her own life, she explores what happens when the plan disappears, why some of our hardest seasons become unexpected turning points, and how we move forward when we have absolutely no idea what comes next.

This isn't about pretending adversity is a gift while you're standing in the middle of it. It's about recognizing that rejection can become redirection, the thing that didn't work can lead somewhere you never would have chosen on your own, and we have far more power over what happens after the hard thing than we often realize.

Audiences leave with a new way of meeting uncertainty, moving through setbacks without allowing them to define what comes next, and recognizing possibility in places they may never have thought to look for it.

Ideal for

Women's conferences • Corporate & employee events • Universities & students • Leadership events • Entrepreneurship • Healthcare & helping professions • Personal development • Organizations navigating change

Your Clients Are Asking One Question Before They Ever Hire You: Can I Trust You?

How trust becomes the competitive advantage that grows your practice

The healing and wellness industry has a trust problem.

Anyone can build a beautiful website. Anyone can call themselves an expert online. AI can create your content, write your marketing and make almost anyone look polished. Certifications can be completed in a weekend. And clients are becoming increasingly aware that what someone looks like online doesn't necessarily tell them what it will feel like to actually work with them.

So how does an incredible practitioner stand out?

Trust.

Krista challenges the idea that growing a healing practice is primarily a marketing problem. Because you can get more people through the door, but if the experience on the other side doesn't create trust, marketing will only take you so far.

In this provocative, business-focused keynote, Krista explores trust as something far more valuable than a feel-good brand word. Trust influences whether someone hires you, how confidently they invest, whether they stay, whether they implement what you're teaching, whether they experience value, whether they refer their friends—and ultimately, whether your practice grows.

Audiences learn how to look at their business through the eyes of the person deciding whether to trust them, identify the small places where trust is being built or quietly lost, and create a client experience that supports both deeper transformation and a healthier, more profitable practice.

Because in a world where anyone can look credible...

Being trustworthy may become your greatest competitive advantage.

Ideal for

Wellness conferences • Healing & holistic health events • Coaching conferences • Practitioner summits • Women in business • Entrepreneurship events • Service-based business events

SIGNATURE INTERVIEW TOPICS

CONVERSATIONS SHE BRINGS BEYOND THE USUAL

Looking for a guest who can go beyond the usual talking points? Krista brings big stories, fresh perspectives, science, spirituality, lived experience, and nearly a decade in the healing space to conversations that can go deep without feeling heavy.

Interviews can be tailored to your audience and format, from a quick 10-minute segment to a full-length conversation.

Interview Topics

Stop Pretending You're Fine

Why some of the strongest, most capable people are quietly living at maximum capacity, how the very qualities that make them successful can also keep them overwhelmed, and why the answer isn't becoming less driven.

When Life Doesn't Go According to Plan

What do we do when rejection, loss, failure, or unexpected change blows up the plan? A conversation about the moments we don't choose, the unexpected redirections we never saw coming, and how much power we still have over what happens next.

Science Meets Spirituality

Krista has a background in biology and biochemistry and has also spent years studying energy work, nervous system science, ceremony, and Indigenous wisdom. What if understanding healing doesn't require choosing one world over the other?

Can You Actually Trust Your Healer?

Anyone can look credible online. AI can create expert-level content, social media can build authority overnight, and certifications can happen in a weekend. Krista explores what clients should actually look for when choosing someone to trust with their healing, and what practitioners need to understand about earning that trust.

What the Amazon Taught Me About Healing

A kambo ceremony. A decision that made Krista dangerously ill. Indigenous healers deep in the Peruvian Amazon. And a vision of a Phoenix that would eventually become the foundation of her life's work. This is the story that changed the way Krista understood healing, transformation, and what happens when we finally stop fighting what needs to change.

Why Great Healers Still Struggle to Build Thriving Businesses

Being incredible at helping people doesn't automatically make you good at building a business. Many healing practitioners leave their certifications knowing exactly how to practice their modality and almost nothing about attracting clients, creating an experience people want to return to, or building a practice that actually supports them financially. Krista opens up the conversation about what practitioners really need to turn meaningful work into a thriving, sustainable business.

Experience + Expertise

What makes Krista different

Krista’s expertise wasn’t built in one classroom, one certification, or even one field. It comes from decades of studying the human body, healing, behavior, spirituality, business, and transformation, combined with years of putting that knowledge into practice with real people in the real world.

Science + The Human Body

Krista has an extensive collegiate background in biology and biochemistry, along with study in the physical sciences. That scientific foundation still shapes the questions she asks today: What is actually happening in the body? Why do humans respond the way we do? And what creates change beyond simply knowing what we “should” do?

Nearly a Decade in the Healing Industry

Krista didn't build her expertise online. She spent nearly a decade running a brick-and-mortar healing business, serving thousands of people in her community and working directly with hundreds of clients through healing sessions, programs, workshops, circles, and transformational experiences. Her perspective comes from years of seeing what actually happens when healing leaves the classroom and meets real life.

Deep Training in Energy + Shamanic Healing

Krista is a Master Practitioner in traditional Usui Reiki and Holy Fire Karuna Reiki, with years of additional training and practice in energetic and shamanic healing. Her studies have taken her beyond traditional certification programs and into direct experiences with Indigenous teachers and healers throughout North, Central, and South America.

Trauma, the Nervous System + Transformation

Krista's approach to trauma and nervous system work has been shaped by years of study, direct client work, science, somatic and energetic practices, and her own lived experience. Rather than treating transformation as something that happens through information alone, she looks at the whole human being and the patterns that shape how we actually live.

Business + Practitioner Development

After nearly a decade of building her own practice, Krista now helps healing and wellness practitioners strengthen theirs. Her work brings together the pieces practitioners are rarely taught in certification programs: trust, client experience, implementation, retention, professional systems, business growth, and creating a practice that supports both deeper client transformation and greater abundance for the practitioner.

Television + Media

As creator and host of Stop Pretending You’re Fine, Krista is bringing conversations about healing, transformation, trust, business, and real life to national television. Her experience now spans both sides of the interview: as a host guiding meaningful conversations and as a guest appearing across television, radio, podcasts, and digital media.

A Life That Required Her to Live the Work

And then there's the part no certification could have given her. Krista has navigated childhood trauma, significant health challenges, nearly 100 pounds of weight loss, surgeries and physical recovery, motherhood, family addiction, business reinvention, profound spiritual experiences, and extraordinary encounters around the world that challenged what she believed was possible.

She has been a personal trainer and kickboxing instructor, business owner, healer, mentor, ceremonialist, teacher, author, and student of this work for years.

Krista doesn’t speak about transformation because she studied it from a distance. She has studied it, practiced it, taught it, built businesses around it, helped others through it, and lived the damn thing herself.

A conversation your audience won't forget

Krista doesn't believe transformation happens because someone heard a motivational quote. It happens when people begin asking different questions.

Her interviews challenge long-held assumptions, invite honest reflection, and give audiences practical ways to begin creating change in their own lives.

If your audience is looking for another inspirational story, they'll enjoy the conversation. If they're looking for a fresh perspective that changes how they see themselves and the world around them, they'll remember it long after it's over.

The bigger mission

This is bigger than a stage.

Krista believes we’re at a turning point in the way we think about healing. We have more information, more practitioners, more modalities, more technology, and more access than ever before. And yet, people are still overwhelmed, still searching, and increasingly unsure who or what they can trust.

Her mission is to help change that.

For individuals, that means moving beyond simply surviving and consciously choosing what comes next. For practitioners, it means raising the standard of trust, integrity, and client experience within the healing industry. And now, through Stop Pretending You’re Fine, Krista is taking those conversations from stages and intimate rooms to nationally distributed television, where one honest conversation has the potential to reach millions.

Because healing creates ripples. And Krista is here to turn those ripples into waves.
